Frontline For Dogs

Published by dijones under Uncategorized Edit This

Frontline for Dogs is the most well known of all the flea and tick treatments and using frontline for Dogs properly will ensure that it works as well as it possibly can. If used correctly it will last for six weeks if not longer. Bu using correctly I amĀ  talking about ensuring that you always apply to the skin and never to the fur. By applying frontline medicine straight to the skin it works as efficiently as it possibly can.

The time it will then take to begin working will be as short as possible and your Dog will be completely protected in a matter of a day or so. If you use a large capsule because you have a large Dog then always apply to two places. This will stop the fur from becoming saturated which is a waste of the frontline. Frontline medicine works best when applied directly to skin so getting it on the fur does little but waste the treatment.

There is one other very important factor when it comes to using frontline effectively and that is to ensure that you keep your Dog dry. If you allow your Dog to get wet within a day of applying frontline medicine then it will not work very well. The medicine needs time to be distributed around the body and if you interrupt this then it may not work very well at all.

Avoid areas where there is water if your Dog enjoys swimming. Many Dogs love jumping in rivers and lakes etc so if your Dog is like this just stay away from such areas for at least a day after applying frontline. You should also try to avoid the Dog getting wet because of the rain. Just be careful for a day so the discount frontline can have time to work at its most effective. It is too expensive to simply waste it because of a simple mistake. The water really does effect how well it works so I would be very vigilant at ensuring that your Dog stays dry for a day at least.
